About Stafford MOPS

Who can come to MOPS?

MOPS is for mothers with pre-school aged children.  Pre-school aged means birth to prep.  It doesn’t matter whether you have one child or ten.

When do you meet?

Stafford MOPS group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month during school terms, from 9:30-11:30am.  (Click here for dates and topics for 2010.)

Where do you meet?

We meet at St Paul’s Uniting Church, Stafford, which is on the corner of Webster rd and Minimine st.  Children are looked after by dedicated carers (all of whom hold blue cards) in the church hall while mums meet in the church building itself.  Young babies are welcome to stay with their mothers.

What happens at a MOPS morning?

Kids have a great time playing while mums enjoy their own program.  The mums’ program includes morning tea, a guest speaker, discussion with other mums and a craft.  Two hours time out just for you.

How much does it cost?

$6 per meeting.  Yes, you did read that correctly!  The majority of your $6 covers your craft activity for the day.

What should I bring?

Yourself (whatever state you’re in…), $6, and a plate of morning tea to share if you can manage it!   You are always welcome to bring along a friend, provided she too is a mother with pre-school aged children.

What should I bring for my kids?

Please pack a small bag for your child/ren with the following items clearly named:  hat, waterbottle, morning tea, and spare clothes.  Please also pack nappies etc if your child still requires them.

Is parking available?

Carparking spaces are limited at the church, so first in best dressed!  Car parking is available in the surrounding streets.

Who should I call for more information?

Contact our Coordinator Cath Oehlman via email:  catherine.oehlman@gmail.com

or phone the church office on 3356 9465.  We’d love to hear from you…
